Security+ Practice Test 701 (“App”) is provided by Michael Scott Waldron (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1) Information We Collect

Study data you generate, such as practice question attempts, quiz results, missed questions, saved questions, flashcard usage, topic progress, and timed exam performance. This information is stored locally on your device by default unless a sync or backup feature is enabled through your platform.
Optional account data, if account features are ever offered, such as your name, email address, and login-related identifiers.
Purchase and subscription data related to in-app purchases handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details, but we may receive receipt data or subscription status information needed to unlock premium features.
Diagnostics and crash data to improve app stability, fix bugs, and improve performance.
Analytics data, if used, such as feature usage, session activity, and interaction events. This may be collected in aggregated or pseudonymous form to help us improve the App.

2) How We Use Your Information

Provide and operate the App’s study features, including practice questions, explanations, flashcards, review tools, and timed exams.
Save your progress and personalize your experience, such as weak-area review and missed-question practice.
Process and validate subscriptions, purchases, and premium feature access.
Monitor reliability, fix technical problems, and improve the App.
Respond to customer support requests and service-related inquiries.
Send product updates or support emails if you contact us or opt in where applicable.

3) How Your Data Is Stored

By default, your study progress and related app data are stored on your device. If you use a platform backup or sync feature, such as iCloud device backups, some data may also be stored through your device provider according to your own settings and agreements with that provider.

4) Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information only in the following situations:

With service providers that help us operate the App, such as analytics, diagnostics, hosting, or support tools, subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations.
With Apple in connection with App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscription processing, and related platform services.
If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
To protect our rights, users, systems, or the integrity of the App where legally permitted.

5) Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Locally stored study data may remain on your device until you remove it, reset the App, or uninstall the App.

6) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information under our control. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or export of certain data, and the right to object to or limit certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of certain analytics or communications where applicable.

9) Account and Data Deletion

If the App does not use accounts: You may remove local app data by uninstalling the App or using any in-app reset feature if one is available.
If account features are added later: You may be able to delete your account through the App settings, or you may contact us to request deletion of personal data we control, subject to legal retention requirements.

10) International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

11) Third-Party Services and Links

The App may include links to third-party websites or may rely on third-party tools and services. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and practices, and we are not responsible for them.

12) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the revised version here and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
